What is it used for?

Tirzee™ 4 (Tirzepatide) is a once-weekly injectable treatment used alongside a healthy diet and physical activity to:

  • Help adults with Type 2 Diabetes improve blood sugar control.
  • Support weight loss and long-term weight management in adults living with obesity or overweight with weight-related health conditions.
  • Reduce the risk of certain cardiovascular (heart-related) events in eligible adults with Type 2 Diabetes.
  • Help manage moderate to severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) in adults with obesity.
How it Works

Tirzee™ contains Tirzepatide, which works by activating two natural hormone pathways called GIP and GLP-1 receptors. These help:

  • Improve insulin release when blood sugar levels are high.
  • Reduce the amount of sugar produced by the body.
  • Slow stomach emptying, helping you feel fuller for longer.
  • Support appetite control, which can help reduce calorie intake and promote weight loss.
Dosage & Administration
  • Tirzee is administered as a subcutaneous injection (under the skin) once weekly.
  • The usual starting dose is 2.5 mg once weekly for the first 4 weeks.
  • After 4 weeks, the dose is typically increased to 5 mg once weekly.
  • If needed, your healthcare provider may gradually increase the dose based on your response and tolerance.
  • The maximum recommended dose is 15 mg once weekly.
  • It can be injected in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.
  • Tirzee can be taken with or without meals.
  • Rotate injection sites with each dose.
Drug Interactions

Before using Tirzee, inform your healthcare provider about all medicines you take.

Special attention is needed if you use:
