WhatIs Avafil Used For?
Avafil is used
to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. It helps men who have
difficulty getting or maintaining an erection during sexual activity.
How It Works
Avafil improves
blood flow to the penis, helping you get and maintain an erection when sexually
stimulated. It does not work without sexual stimulation and does not increase
sexual desire.
Dosage & Administration
Avafil is
available in 50 mg, 100 mg and 200 mg tablets.
The usual
starting dose is 100 mg, taken approximately 15 minutes before sexual activity.
Depending on your response, your doctor may increase the dose to 200 mg or
reduce it to 50 mg.
The 50 mg dose
should be taken approximately 30 minutes before sexual activity.
- Swallow the tablet with water.
- It may be taken with or without
food. - A heavy meal may delay its effect.
- Do not take more than one dose in
24 hours. - Always use the lowest dose that
works for you, as advised by your doctor.
