Generic Name: Omeprazole
BASAGINE (Insulin Glargine) is a solution for injection used as antidiabetic agent. Insulin Glargine is a biosynthetic long-acting, human insulin analogue administered subcutaneously to lower the excess blood-glucose-level.
Insulin Glargine drug interactions
- Enhance hypoglycemia: Oral antidiabetic agents, ACE inhibitors, disopyramide, fibrates, fluoxetine, MAO inhibitors, pentoxifylline, propoxyphene, salicylates, sulfonamide antibiotics.
- Reduce hypoglycemia: Corticosteroids, diuretics, glucagon, estrogens, progestogens, thyroid hormones, and some other drugs.
- Variable effect: Beta-blockers, clonidine, lithium salts, alcohol (can potentiate or weaken effects).
- Pentamidine: May cause hypoglycemia followed by hyperglycemia. effectiveness; not recommended together.
- Sympatholytic drugs: May reduce or mask hypoglycemic symptoms.
